Kwajalein Underwater

As former nudibranch biologists, our original intention with this website was to record the nudibranchs and their relatives from the Marshall Islands, an area along the eastern edge of Micronesia. The site, however, sort of developed a life of its own, expanding in an attempt to cover all marine life in the Marshalls and even a few extras. We now view the site as a partial snapshot of the marine environment in this area from the late 20th through early 21st centuries. Considering the speed at which humanity is changing the climate, the richness of the biota that once existed soon may remain only in pictures and documentation. While we no longer live in the Marshalls, we still have material to add about additional groups, and friends still in the islands continue to supply us with photos of creatures we did not ourselves see.
