In the middle of a nearly all-sandy area where rocks were a scarce commodity, the few we came upon were covered with the most delightful algae. The little parasol-shaped discs of Acetabularia sp. were just under 10mm as was the tallest of the spiky algae as seen in the photo, possibly a Neomeris.
