Snake-head cowry - Cypraea (Monetaria) caputserpentis

This is the common "brownie" or snake-head cowry, Cypraea (Monetaria) caputserpentis, 25mm. It is found in very shallow areas including the reef flats and had unusual long papillae along the base of the mantle which it kept retracted in tight tufts.
